One of the great advantages of ski holidays in Les Arcs (Paradiski) is it ease of getting
there. It sits just above Bourg Saint Maurice (850m) - the capital of the Haute Taraintaise Valley. Bourg Saint Maurice is at the crossroads to all ski
destinations and Les Arcs is the closest. Its international railway station will welcome you on arrival and
its coach station or funicular will take you onto Les Arcs 1800.
Getting to Les Arcs 1800 (Plane and Transfer)

Geneva and Lyon are the nearest airports to Les Arcs. If you book your flights
well in advance you can get some truly exceptional deals (and with our ski
holiday accommodation it will be a bargain!). We have known of return trips from

By Transfer - Car Hire
This is a fast and easy way to get to Les Arcs. All our apartments come with
parking. Remember if you are travelling on the Swiss motorway then there is an
additional Swiss road tax charge of €30. This takes approximately 2.5hr from

By Transfer - Public Bus
There are daily services between Geneva and Lyon airports to Arcs 1800 using the
airport bus companies. In Arcs 1800 departures and arrivals are at the main

Getting to Les Arcs 1800 (Road and Channel)
By Road
There is direct access to Les Arcs via the European motorway network. The
roads which were built for the Olympics make access to Bourg Saint Maurice and
Les Arcs very easy, part of the European motorway network: take the motorway to
Albertville, dual carriageway to Moûtiers then the RN 90 to Bourg Saint Maurice.
A wide mountain road leads up to Les Arcs. The streets of the high-altitude
resorts are often closed to motor traffic - if coming from Italy direction the
Saint Bernard pass is usually closed through out the winter months.

Getting to Bourg Saint Maurice
By Train
By train it is a very simple journey to Les Arcs since Bourg Saint Maurice
(only a short distance up to Les Arcs) is one of the main French SNCF and TGV (high speed
French rail network) stations. You can travel from Waterloo London direct to BSM

By Funicular Train
The Arc-en-Ciel funicular train, which leaves from just behind the SNCF
railway station, takes you to Arc 1600 in just 7 minutes. Use of this service is
included in all ski passes (from funicular train station ticket office).

Getting Around Les Arcs 1800
By Bus
Throughout the winter, there are free regular shuttle services between the
resorts of Les Arcs (Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950, Arc 2000 and Le Cabriolet
between Arc 1950 and Arc 2000). Your nearest bus stop will be on the main road
in the centre of Arc 1800. There is (should be!) a shuttle bus that runs up and
down from the centre to the Alpage as well! The shuttle bus to take you to and from Arc 1800 centre is on the main road.
This takes you to all the other Arc resorts as well.
By Car
