wide open cruising runs. Since December 2003 the Paradiski cable-car opened,
linking Les Arcs with La Plagne to form one of the largest ski areas in the

1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. Arc 1800 is the largest village with a
lively atmosphere and excellent access to skiing.

Paradiski
The Vanoise Express, the centrepiece of the Paradiski ski area is now open. This is a opportunity for all holiday-makers visiting
La Plagne, les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry to experience the cable car that has
been hailed by the media worldwide as the most prestigious in the world.
The cable car linking the Les Arcs and La Plagne massifs opened on 20 December
2003 and made more than 400,000 trips during its first winter. Surveys conducted
during this period confirmed a very high level of satisfaction amongst its
users. The quality of service, the comfort and above all the panoramic views
satisfied more than 95% of people who took the cable car.
In summer, family outings, hiking expeditions or mountain bike rides will give
you so many opportunities to experience the Vanoise Express. Beyond the
technical performance of the car, which links a distance of nearly 2km without
any intermediary pylons between Peisey-Vallandry and Montchavin-les-Coches, the
famous double-decker cars and their amazing glass surface offer outstanding
panoramic views of over the highest summits on the Alps, from a maximum height
of 380 m.
